Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne illness prevalent in Thailand. While typically not life-threatening, it can cause flu-like symptoms and potentially lead to hospitalization and in rare cases to death. QDenga at WellMed
QDenga is used to help protect individuals between 4 and 60 years old from dengue disease caused by any of the four dengue virus serotypes (1, 2, 3, and 4). Unlike some other dengue vaccines, QDenga does not require a blood test to determine if you’ve had a prior dengue infection, anyone can get protection from dengue using this vaccine.
The vaccine is given in a series of 2 doses spaced 3 months apart, and each dose costs 2,500 baht. QDenga vaccination may be a suitable option for you if you live in or frequently visit dengue-endemic areas.
